Servir a la Gente

Shingo Shimizu Servir a la Gente Digital Giclee Print Edition of 100 18x24"

Servir a la Gente
I recently participated in the taco-skull-themed group art show: "UNO" (by La Carnita) in Toronto. The show was to comemorate the 1 year anniversary of the pop up taco shop (La Carnita), hence the theme.

Also participating in the show were the talented: Mike Giant, SamFlores, Greg Lamarche, Hydro 74, Johnny Crap, Dubelyoo, Abe Lincoln Jr, Misk1, Doublenaut, Dave Glantz, Matt Barnes, Shingo Shimizu, Skam, Rcade, Vlad Kato, Bryan Espiritu, Tavis Coburn, Amber J, Angie Fey, Brian Mendoza, Jacqui Oakley, Matt Darling, and Ashley Barron.
For the show I had one giant 30" x 40" giclee framed print (which sold!) of Kim Jong-il eating tacos with a mexican skull painted on his face. The title: "Servir a la Gente" (or "Serve the People") written around a "Kimjongilia" flower, serves as a double entendre. The meat in the tacos emphasizes this point.

18" x 24" giclee prints (edition of 100) are available for purchase. If you are interested you can let me know by email.
